Thanks South Mitchell Neighbourhood Watch

🧡💙 LOCAL BUSINESSES, WE NEED YOUR HELP! 💙🧡

🚒 Help us keep our new SES Kilmore Motor Bay clean, safe and ready! 🧹✨

As many of you know, SES Kilmore has recently moved into our brand-new home! 🏠🚨

While we’re absolutely loving our new facilities, there’s still some equipment we need to help keep everything running smoothly.

🧹 We’re looking for a local business to sponsor or help fund a Kärcher S6 Twin Manual Floor Sweeper!

This handy piece of equipment will help our volunteers:

✅ Keep our large motor bay clean and tidy

✅ Quickly remove dust, dirt and debris

✅ Spend less time cleaning and more time training

✅ Keep our new home safe, presentable and ready for action! 🚒

🤝 CAN YOUR BUSINESS LEND A HAND?

We’re not asking one business to cover the full cost. Whether you can sponsor the equipment outright or contribute towards its purchase, every bit of support will make a difference!

💙🧡 SES Kilmore is proudly 100% VOLUNTEER, and we’re incredibly grateful for the ongoing support we receive from our local community.

📧 CAN YOUR BUSINESS HELP?

We’d love to hear from you!

Victoria’s weather is expected to take a turn this weekend, with forecast widespread rain and the potential for severe storms across parts of the state over the coming days.

The shift in conditions is a timely reminder for community members to be storm ready this spring and summer higher risk weather season. By taking simple actions such as trimming overhanging branches, clearing gutters and drains and tying down loose outdoor items, community members can significantly reduce their risk of damage if a storm develops.

Ahead of this weekend, community members can also stay up-to-date with any emergency warnings issued by downloading the VicEmergency app and establishing a personal watch zone.

For SES emergency assistance, call 132 500.

☀️🚒 SUNSHINE, SMILES & SOME SERIOUS RESCUE SKILLS! 🧡💪

What a fantastic Sunday at the Lancefield Agricultural Show! 🎡🌭🎉

Our SES Kilmore crew teamed up with our friends from SES Woodend and LMRU for a brilliant day of community engagement, plenty of laughs and a whole lot of sunshine! ☀️😎

🗣️ We talked!
🚶 We walked!
👋 We met some amazing people!
🚗💥 And we even showed off our rescue skills!

There was plenty to see and do, with lots of activities, information and opportunities for the community to get up close and learn more about what we do. 🧡

One of the highlights was our Road Crash Rescue (RCR) demonstration, where our crews put their skills into action and gave the crowd a glimpse of what goes into responding to a road rescue. 🚒🛠️💪

👏 A massive THANK YOU to the Lancefield Agricultural Show organisers for having us along and putting on such a fantastic event!

🤝 A big shout-out to our neighbouring units, SES Woodend Unit and LMRU, for joining us. It’s always a great day when we get to work together!

And of course, thank you to everyone who stopped by for a chat, asked questions, watched our demo or simply gave us a wave! 👋🧡

☀️ Great weather!
😄 Great people!
🚒 Great teamwork!
🧡 One fantastic day!

Until next time, Lancefield! 👋🎉

🧡🚨 A NEW CHAPTER BEGINS FOR VICSES KILMORE! 🚨🧡

🏠 NEW HOME. SAME MEMBERS. SAME COMMITMENT TO OUR COMMUNITY.

Friday 16 October 2026 marked a very special day in the history of VICSES Kilmore Unit.

After years of planning, preparation and anticipation, we have officially moved into our brand-new Local Headquarters (LHQ)! 🎉

Our vehicles have made the move, our flags have been raised for the very first time, and our volunteers are now officially responding to emergencies from our new home. 🚒🧡

This is more than just a new building. It’s a significant investment in our volunteers, our capabilities and the communities we proudly serve.

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who has helped turn this dream into a reality. From those involved in the planning and construction to everyone who supported us along the way, we are incredibly grateful.

While we’re settling into our new home, one thing hasn’t changed: our commitment to being there for our community when you need us most. 💪

👀 And don’t worry, you’ll get your chance to have a look around!

We’re planning a community Open Day for early 2027, where we’ll welcome everyone through the doors and show you our new home.

🎥 For now, enjoy this special video capturing our move and the beginning of an exciting new chapter!

🚨 Safety Reminder for Drivers

When you see any flashing lights, including our red and blues, on the roadside, please slow down safely to 40 km/h as you pass.

🚘 Slowing down isn’t just good manners, it’s the law and it helps keep our emergency services safe while they’re working on or near the road.

👉 Why It Matters?
Our SES volunteers are often attending calls on our roads and perform their tasks outside of our vehicles. Passing traffic at high speed puts them at serious risk. We all deserve to get home safely, so when you see us, slow down. 🙏

So please slow to 40 km/h when passing emergency vehicles with flashing lights, and only return to the normal speed once you’re safely past the scene. 🚗
