A very sad day following the passing of Neale Daniher.

Neale’s strength, humility and unwavering fight against MND inspired a nation. He faced immense challenges with courage and purpose, dedicating himself to raising awareness and driving change for others.

Quite simply, he was a giant.

His legacy extends far beyond football.

Vale, Neale Daniher.

Beveridge is growing rapidly and it is critical that our community infrastructure keeps pace

These additional kindergarten rooms will give local families greater certainty and access to early learning opportunities right in their neighbourhood. Thankyou to the Victorian Government for its investment in this important project and look forward to seeing generations of local children benefit from these modern, purpose built facilities.

Positive news for our local community and growing number of young families in Beveridge.

🎉Local families are enjoying the expanded Greater Beveridge Community Centre, following the recent completion of the project.

Funded through a $3.97 million investment from the Victorian Government, the project has delivered:

◾ Two new interconnected kindergarten rooms

◾ Upgrades to the outdoor play space

◾ Landscaping works to improve accessibility and inclusiveness

The expanded facilities will help meet growing demand for early years services in Beveridge and provide more local families with access to high quality kindergarten programs closer to home.

Thank you to everyone involved in delivering the project and to the Victorian Government for supporting this important investment in one of Mitchell Shire’s fastest growing communities.

Great to attend and officially open a fantastic exhibition by local artist Paul Robinson last night at Kilmore Picture Framers.
I was proud to open the exhibition in my role as Deputy Mayor.
It was a great turnout from the community, and really encouraging to see strong support for local arts and culture in Mitchell Shire. Exhibitions like this are exactly what we want to see more of showcasing local talent and bringing people together in our towns.
I encourage everyone to get along and have a look while it’s running until 17 June.

Exhibition open for visitors in Kilmore 🖼️

Council is committed to nurturing a thriving local arts community. Through initiatives like this, we continue to support creative infrastructure and champion local artists. This ensures that arts and culture remain central to how engage as a community and how we attract visitors to the area.

The Urban Growth Boundary Exhibition by artist Paul Robinson opened at Kilmore Picture Framers last night. In attendance were Cr Andrea Pace, Cr Timonthy Hanson, Cr Claudia James and art-loving community members.

Visit the exhibition until 17 June:
📍 Kilmore Picture Framers, 44 Victoria Parade, Kilmore⏰ Monday – Friday at 8.30am to 4.30pm and Saturday at 9am to 12pm

This report lays out a simple truth. Services are lagging behind growth, and our community is carrying the weight.
Long waitlists, limited local access, and growing pressure on families, this is the reality here.

Supporting local is what keeps our community strong and one business that has truly stood the test of time in Kilmore is Gray’s Quality Meats.

Peter and Sally have been part of our town for over 30 years, building a business known for quality products, friendly service, and that genuine old-school butcher experience. Whether it’s your weekly shop, a BBQ with mates, or something special for the weekend, you know you’re getting top quality cuts and advice you can trust.

Local businesses like this are the backbone of our community.

If you haven’t been in yet, make sure you drop by and support them at 22 Sydney Street.

Today we pause to remember the courage, sacrifice, and spirit of all who have served and continue to serve.

On ANZAC Day, we honour the bravery of the men and women who stood for something greater than themselves and reflect on the freedoms we enjoy because of them.

Lest we forget.

Today I attended a meeting alongside Annabelle Cleeland, Member for Euroa, along with concerned parents and community members, all in support of a public high school for Kilmore.
This was the first of many opportunities going forward for the community to come together and raise the very real concerns around the lack of a local public high school.
Firstly, I want to thank those who attended, shared their stories, and spent time speaking with other concerned locals and parents. I also want to thank Cr Humm, my fellow Central Ward Councillor, as well as Cr Cornish and Cr Pace for coming to the Kilmore to show their support.
Finally, thank you to the Caffeine bar Kilmore for hosting us, and to everyone who took the time to come along and be part of the conversation.

Most of all, a big thank you to Corey and Ellie from Public High School For Kilmore for the groundwork they’ve done to get the ball rolling on this important issue.
