🚒 We recently ran a mock emergency drill with our local fire brigade.

Regular drills help make sure everyone knows what to do if something goes wrong. Working with the brigade let us practise our procedures, spot anything that could be improved, and feel confident we’re ready.

New fire alarm strobe lights installed throughout this manufacturing plant, connected into the existing system and tested through to completion.

Every now and then you get one of those jobs where everything is straightforward, the site is clean, access is easy and you don't spend half the day wondering how you're going the job done.

We could get used to this. 😂

Another fire protection system successfully brought back into service by the team at Hartec Fire Systems.

Our team recently attended site to replace a seized diesel fire hydrant pump engine. The works included:

🔧 Removal of the failed diesel pump engine
🔧 Installation of a new diesel pump engine
🔧 Reconnection of fuel lines, electrical wiring and drive shaft
🔧 Testing and commissioning of the new engine
💧 Hydrant flow testing to confirm correct pump operation and system performance

Following installation, the pump was run and tested to ensure the new engine was operating correctly, with hydrant flow testing completed as part of the commissioning process.

Whether it’s ongoing maintenance, routine testing, a new fire pump installation or electrical works, our experienced team is here to support our clients and keep their systems operating as they should.

Mid-way through electrical works on this new manufacturing shed. It's a good reminder that while a lot of people know us for fire protection, sprinklers and maintenance, commercial/industrial electrical work is also a big part of what we do.

Diesel fire pumps are a critical part of a fire protection system, providing a reliable water supply when it’s needed most. Our team recently attended site to carry out routine inspection, testing and maintenance of a diesel fire pump, checking the engine, fuel system, batteries, cooling system, pump operation and associated components to ensure everything was operating correctly and in accordance with AS 1851.

With just 24 hours' notice, our team was called in to install 60 metres of temporary 300mm pipe to supply water to our client's fire system during a site-wide shutdown, while the street water supply was turned off.

With tight timeframes, there was no room for delays. The boys got stuck in, ran the 300mm pipework, and had everything up and running on schedule to keep the client's fire system operational throughout the shutdown.

Another great effort by the team and another quality job delivered when it counted.

Big shoutout to Chris for a massive milestone 👏

After plenty of early starts, long days, and putting in the hard yards over the years, Chris has officially become a qualified Sprinkler Fitter 🔧💧 A lot of time and effort goes into getting there, and it’s no small achievement.

To top it off, he attended the awards night this week to recognise the accomplishment, a great way to mark all the work that’s been put in along the way.

It’s always good to see dedication pay off, and even better to have it recognised. Proud to have you on the team mate, well deserved 🍻

Big push heading into Christmas and the boys are absolutely smashing it. It’s that time of year where everything ramps up, but the team has been keeping it steady and knocking out every job with quality work.

We’ve got a couple of big projects rolling, including a heap of new sprinkler pipework going in. Busy days, tight turnarounds, but the crew is handling it like legends.

Everyone’s counting down to a well-earned break now. You looking forward to your Christmas downtime too?
