On this day nine years ago, Caboolture Men's Shed was started up after seven mates got together for a post-Christmas Party and identified a need to build neighbourhood connections and provide a social outlet for many of the recently retired men in the area.
Many years of friendship have developed and our members enjoy the social interaction with like-minded gentlemen. While we don't have a workshop at this time, our shed meets are well attended and we enjoy the social activities that include wives and partners including monthly dinners at a local restaurant/venue.
Tonight we had a great turnout at Sports Central Caboolture for a night of good food, conversation and laughs.
We look forward to the next nine years of serving the community and providing an outlet for men to build friendships and share their knowledge and skills over a cuppa and a game of pool or just a chat around the table.

We have had an eventful few months at the Shed and our social activities.
Australia Day celebrations and our monthly social dinners as well as the ladies morning tea each month. A couple of lucky members won meat trays at the Burpo dinner - well done.
We also donated funds to Caboolture Meals on Wheels and the Lagoon Creek Cafe to assist with their wonderful work in the community.
We look forward to many more enjoyable activities with our members.

A few members went away on a road trip to Bjelke Petersen dam this week.
The weather changed each day with 38 degree day on Monday, the temperature dropped 16 degrees next day with showers and Wednesday was perfect weather. Vanilla slices from the Murgon bakery for morning tea were delicious and we ended up with few bottles of wine and liqueur from the Moffatdale Ridge Winery just up the road.
All in all a great few days with the crew; we look forward to doing it again soon.

Our social events this month were well attended.
The ladies met for morning tea at Cafe 63 and was enjoyed by all.
Our monthly dinner was held at Club Tavern Caboolture and was a great catchup for everyone.
We really enjoy getting together with our group.
