Rotary in Action at Unplugged!

On Saturday, 29 August, members of the Rotary Club of Highlands, Rotary Club of Borrowdale Brooke, Rotaract Club of the University of Zimbabwe, Rotaract Club of Borrowdale Brooke, and Rotaract Club of Greystone Park came together to volunteer at Unplugged, held at First Capital Sports Club.

It was a wonderful opportunity for us to come together in service, represent and showcase Rotary District 9210, and engage with the wider community.

Events like these provide an excellent platform to strengthen Rotary’s public image while demonstrating what Service Above Self truly means.

Solar Installation Handover at Musingwa School

On Thursday, 27 August, all roads led to Musingwa School for the handover of the newly installed solar system.

This project is part of a bigger Rotary Club of Highlands Global Grant being implemented at the school, aimed at making a lasting and meaningful impact on the school and its community.

President Rachel and PDG Stella represented the Rotary Club of Highlands at the handover.
The full official handover ceremony for the entire Global Grant project will take place at a later stage.

Last Wednesday, the Rotary Club of Highlands was delighted to welcome District Governor Sam for his official club visit.

The day began with a productive Board Meeting, followed by a fellowship-filled Club Meeting and lunch, providing an opportunity for members to connect, share ideas and reflect on our journey of service.

The visit then took us to Tose Respite Care Centre, where the Club has an impending project. DG Sam had the opportunity to see the project site, engage with those involved and, in true Rotary spirit, plant trees as part of the visit.
