Our Deputy Minister,Hon Kudakwashe Mupamhanga, officiated at the graduation ceremony of 121 youths who successfully completed the Care2Share Mobile Training Programme in Shamva District.

The graduation ceremony was organised by Young Africa Zimbabwe in partnership with the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training, with support from Oak Foundation.

The graduates, comprising of 73 females and 48 males, received accredited vocational training in trades such as motor vehicle mechanics, welding, mining, cutting and designing, and hairdressing under the mobile Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) initiative.

Speaking during the ceremony, Honourable Mupamhanga said the programme has transformed the lives of young people by equipping them with practical skills and creating pathways towards self-reliance and economic empowerment.

“This initiative has not merely imparted vocational skills; it has fundamentally transformed the life trajectories of our young people,” he said.

The programme, which commenced in July 2025, targeted youths from Wards 2, 8, 13, 20, 24 and 26 of Shamva District and was aligned with Government priorities under National Development Strategy 2 and the National Youth Empowerment Strategy 2026–2030.

Honourable Mupamhanga applauded the programme’s commitment to inclusivity, highlighting that 61 percent of the graduates were young women, many of whom excelled in traditionally male-dominated fields.

The programme also incorporated Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights education, with 98.5 percent of participants reporting improved knowledge in the area.
