Chief Senator Nyaamaropa and Umpfurudzi Game Park Bring Water to the Community
The partnership between Chief Senator Nyaamaropa and Umpfurudzi Game Park is making a strong impact in the local community. A project to drill five boreholes is underway, with two already completed this week.
The first borehole, located at the Murangamombe turn-off to Madziwa Mine, will bring much-needed relief to residents who have long struggled with water shortages. The second, in Nyamaropa Ward 10 at Village Head Goora, is already benefiting the community.
This initiative reflects Umpfurudzi Game Park’s commitment to conserving natural resources and supporting community development. Their message, “leaving no place behind,” highlights their dedication to improving local livelihoods.
The boreholes will provide clean water for drinking, cooking, and farming. They will also support agriculture and livestock production, improving food security and household incomes.
Hundreds of households are expected to benefit, especially children and the elderly. Access to safe water will greatly improve health and overall well-being.
The community has welcomed the project with enthusiasm. Village Head Goora expressed gratitude, saying the borehole is a major relief after years of water shortages.
Umpfurudzi Game Park continues to show its role as a responsible partner by investing in projects that uplift local communities. The remaining three boreholes are expected to be completed in the coming weeks.
