Palestine on Thursday welcomed Zimbabwe's election into the United Nations Security Council for the 2027–2028 term, describing the achievement as a testament to the country's growing stature and influence on the international stage.

Zimbabwe was overwhelmingly elected into the UNSC on Wednesday, placing it at the heart of international diplomacy alongside global giants such as Russia and China.

‎In a congratulatory message, Palestine ambassador to Zimbabwe, Tamer Almassri extended congratulations to the Government and people of Zimbabwe following the election.
