Word of the Week: Das Fingerspitzengefühl

It literally translates to “fingertips feeling” — but the real meaning goes much deeper.
Fingerspitzengefühl describes the ability to handle a situation with sensitivity and subtlety, when you just know what to say, how to act, or even when to stay quiet.
It is the art of doing the right thing, in the right way, at the right moment — almost instinctively.

Plot Mhako, a name synonymous with arts and culture in both Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 and Germany 🇩🇪. Plot recently paid a visit to the embassy where he shared information on several of his forth-coming projects and the work he does with EarGround TV. One of these projects, Moto Moto Festival, a now annual event which takes Zimbabwean culture to Germany will this year take place on the 25th of July in Cologne. The festival has grown and this year will feature both Zimbabwean and German artists. These types of events show the power that culture has to build bridges between different countries and different peoples.
