Chishakwe is one of several game ranches situated in the vast and very special Save Valley Conservancy in the South East Lowveld of Zimbabwe. We welcome paying guests and volunteers and invite them to engage and participate in the world of Lowveld wildlife conservation rather than to merely observe. All of them offer a warm welcome and a unique experience of this very special place.

As big as they are up close, giraffe are dwarfed by the vast Lowveld landscape. Wild animals need space, and plenty of it. Conserving this is the most important part of any conservation work.

Sometimes it is the small things that make a game drive worthwhile. The Dwarf Mongoose is charming to encounter.

Africa's smallest carnivore, these group-dwelling nomads move between termite mounds where they den for up to a few nights at a time. Observing the interactions between group members can be both fascinating and entertaining.
