According to the tally sheet, the results are:

The Katuba Constituency's Community Development Fund (CDF) deliverables have continued to be more visible, with the recent commissioning of six significant community projects that promise to transform the landscape of the Constituency. The projects, collectively valued at an impressive 𝐊𝟐,𝟖𝟖𝟐,𝟗𝟕𝟗.𝟎𝟒 stand as a testament to the unwavering commitment of the New Dawn Administration to enhance the quality of life for the people of Katuba and Zambia as a whole.

The six milestone projects include the following:
📌 1X3 classroom block at Moomba Primary School School in Mungule Ward.
📌 1X3 classroom block at Kapila School in Kamaila Ward.
📌 Water-borne Ablution Block at Situmbeko market in Kabile Ward.
📌 1X4 Classroom Block at Kabile Day Secondary School in Kabile Ward.
📌 Water Reticulations Systems at Kabile School.
📌 1X3 Classroom Block at Kanwanjiba School in Chilochabalenje Ward.

These milestone projects focuses on advancing educational standards as well as, also prioritizes public health, sanitation, and hygiene, addressing critical needs within communities— through provision of clean and safe drinking water, a vital resource that will significantly improve the health and well-being of learners and the general citizenry.

Speaking during the handover ceremonies, Dr. Milner Munankampwe the Central Province Permanent Secretary who officiated the events highlighted that, the addition of extra learning spaces aims to alleviate overcrowding in local schools, providing children with a conducive environment for learning. This multifaceted approach reflects a holistic strategy to uplift communities, ensuring that both educational and health-related needs are met. As these projects come to fruition, they are expected to foster a sense of pride and ownership among the residents, encouraging active participation in the ongoing development of Katuba Constituency.

Meanwhile, Chibombo District Commissioner Mr. Lloyd Kayeka stated that the Government's ongoing investment in education has led to increased pupil enrollment throughout the district.

Mr. Kayeka noted that the construction of new classroom infrastructure under the Constituency Development Fund, the provision of school furniture, the implementation of the Free Education Policy, and the School Feeding Programme have fostered a conducive learning environment, thereby attracting more children to school.

He remarked that, the district has observed a rise in pupils enrollment due to the Government's sustained investment in school infrastructure, furniture, and student support programs.

Mr. Kayeka has urged communities to take ownership of the newly completed facilities by ensuring they are properly maintained for the benefit of both current and future generations.

Additionally, a Grade 7 pupil at Moomba Primary School praised the government for the free education and feeding program. She expressed that the construction of the classroom block will help alleviate overcrowding in classes and encouraged her fellow pupils to care for the infrastructure and focus on their studies.

The immediate past Member of Parliament for Katuba Constituency, who also served as Central Province Minister, has pledged to prioritize the improvement of roads in Katuba Constituency under his theme: "𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗨𝗽 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗯𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀."

During a radio interview on Keembe Radio's program, MP's Corner, Hon. Nkulukusa highlighted several milestone projects achieved during his previous term, particularly in education, health, security, and water and sanitation sectors.

"We have made significant progress in key social sectors such as health and education, aligning with the Presidential strategic intent to enhance these areas. When given another opportunity, we will continue to build on our previous achievements, with our greatest priority being the improvement of roads in the Constituency. This will ensure that farmers can easily access markets, and transporters can move seamlessly from one point to another. By enhancing the road networks, we are economically transforming and developing our Constituency and the country at large," Hon. Nkulukusa emphasized.

He further noted that most roads need to be upgraded to all-weather roads to withstand any weather conditions and ensure durability over time. Additionally, some roads are earmarked for upgrading to bituminous standards, all things being equal.

With the population of Katuba experiencing exponential growth, the urgency for improved road networks becomes even more pronounced. Hon. Nkulukusa recognizes that investing in infrastructure is not just a local concern but a crucial element for broader economic advancement, benefiting not only the Constituency but the nation as a whole. His vision for Katuba is one of progress and opportunity, where improved road connectivity paves the way for a thriving business environment and a prosperous future for all residents.

Hon. Mwabashike Nkulukusa, the aspiring candidate for Katuba Constituency Parliamentary seat asserts that, all the polling stations in Katuba Constituency have witnessed a notable transformation through a variety of funding sources, these include; the vital Constituency Development Fund (CDF) and generous support from various cooperating partners dedicated to uplifting the Constituency.

During his appearance on Keembe FM Radio Station's MP's Corner programme, Hon. Nkulukusa, who recently served as the Member of Parliament for Katuba Constituency and held the position of Central Province Minister, articulated his belief that while substantial advancements have been made for the people of Katuba Constituency, there remains a pressing need for further development to effectively address the ongoing challenges faced by the people.

He stressed the importance of sustained investment in developmental projects, underscoring that such initiatives are crucial for improving the quality of life for all constituents.

In his discussion, he pointed out several key development projects that have been undertaken in the constituency, including the construction of Mungule Hospital, significant road works, the addition of maternity wings, the electrification and water reticulations of some clinics and schools to ensure that learners practically learn ICT and people have to access clean and safe drinking water, as well as the construction of houses for health workers. Each of these projects represents a step forward enhancing healthcare, quality education and infrastructure, which are essential for the well-being of the people.

Furthermore, Hon. Nkulukusa highlighted the need for constructing more secondary schools to broaden access to education, recognizing that education is a cornerstone for future growth and empowerment within the community.

Hon. Nkulukusa also addressed the critical issue of security, and that there's need for establishment of additional police stations to effectively combat cattle rustling and other criminal activities that threaten the safety and investments of people in the area. He noted that strengthening security infrastructure is not only vital for protecting lives and property but also plays a significant role in fostering an environment conducive to development and economic progress.

With a clear vision for the future, Hon. Nkulukusa pledged to prioritize working on the roads to open up Katuba Constituency for greater economic growth and development in his next mandate, promising to continue his commitment to the people and their needs.
