Electoral Commission of Zambia The primary goal of the Electoral Commission to deliver a credible electoral process is achieved through:-

1.

The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) is an independent and autonomous electoral management body (EMB) mandated by Article 229 of the Constitution of Zambia to conduct elections. The delimitation of constituency, ward and polling district boundaries;
2. The registration of eligible citizens as voters;
3. The conduct and the supervision of the country’s Presidential, National Assembly(parliamen

tary) and Local Government elections;
4. The provision of electoral information and voter education to members of the public and the electorate on the various phases/stages of the electoral process and elections, in particular;
5. The establishment of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms for the management of electoral disputes; and
6. The continuous review and update of electoral laws.

ECZ Launches "Count Me In" Publicity and Voter Education Campaign

The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) today, 1st June 2026, launched the Publicity and Voter Education "Count Me In" Campaign for the 2026 General Election at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre.

In her address, ECZ Chairperson Mrs. Mwangala Zaloumis, SC, emphasized that publicity and voter education are complementary pillars of the campaign. She explained that while voter education equips citizens with the knowledge they need to effectively participate in elections, publicity ensures that essential electoral information reaches people wherever they are.

The "Count Me In" campaign marks a significant step in ensuring that every eligible citizen is well-informed and empowered to exercise their democratic right to vote.

The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) officially launches the 2026 General Election Publicity and Voter Education Campaign.

The campaign is being launched by ECZ Chairperson Mrs. Mwangala Zaloumis SC at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre as part of the Commission’s efforts to enhance voter awareness and encourage active citizen participation ahead of the 2026 General Election.
