What an incredible day at the Two Oceans Marathon 2026! 💙❤️💙❤️💙

Yesterday, Northwood Primary was out in full force along the route to support Run4Schools — an organisation that has given so much to our school and our learners through sponsored facilities and ongoing support.

We were there to cheer on some very special runners:
🏃‍♂️ CEO Leslie Pangemanan running his 20th marathon - what an achievement!
🏃‍♂️ Mitchells Plain Run4Schools General Manager, Justin Blake
🏃‍♂️ Our very own staff member & former Run4Schools IT coach, Timothy Gideon

It was lovely to see the Dutch group who came out to accompany Leslie, and to spot a familiar face among the R4S group loved by Mitchells Plain, Northwood Primary, and the whole Run4Schools family - Frank Paco Steyn, former general manager of R4S. Best known for running in school shoes to raise donations of school shoes for Cape Flats learners, Frank’s heart for our children is unmatched. 👟❤️

To Leslie, Justin, Timothy, Frank, and the entire Run4Schools team: thank you for all you do. Watching you run was amazing, and we hope you always know you have the full backing of Northwood Primary School behind you!

Good day Northwood Primary ❤️💙❤️
We're thrilled to share that our ✨️Goodwill Committee's✨️ first Seniors' Valentine's Social was a huge success! 💕

The event was a wonderful opportunity to show love and appreciation to our senior friends in the community, who mean the world to us and our learners. Our Goodwill Committee focuses on outreach initiatives for learners in need and vulnerable members of our community, and this event was a perfect example of their dedication.

A massive thank you to everyone who supported our fundraising efforts and donated to make this event possible. Your kindness will help us continue to reach out to those in need and make a difference in our community.🙏

It's heartwarming to see friendships blossom from our ✨️Annual Elderly Breakfast✨️, and we're glad to provide a space where our seniors feel valued and loved. They play a vital role in our learners' lives, and we're grateful for their presence.

In many ways, they're the 'main parents' to so many of our learners and other children in the community - let's never forget their role!
