The Municipality took time off to celebrate in remembrance of the life and times of Kgotso Collin Dimo who was an employee of the Municipality, serving as PMU Technician and had other duly charged responsibilities as part of ensuring that we placed the delivery of services at the heart of our operations...

K.C. Dimo was remembered as a committed, hardworking and disciplined individual who placed the need to deliver service before any interest, he was remembered for his deep love for his siblings, wife and family; both his maternal and paternal families enjoined the Municipality in celebrating his well lived short life...

We pour our hearts out to his family, wife, siblings, friends and accomplices who had lived with him...

SPECIAL LOCAL COUNCIL MEETING: NO: 14/2025/2026

TABLING OF THE DRAFT BUDGET AND THE 5TH GENERATION IDP AND ITS ADOPTION...

The Mayor presents the draft budget and 5th IDP for the FY 2025/2026 before the Council for consideration and puts it before the house for adoption.

The budget and the IDP for the FY 2025/2026 is thereby adopted..

Council discussed and resolved on the Disposal of Municipal Assets.

Performance Management System Policy Framework, Council received a presentation on the policy, discussed it and resolved thereon.

The tabled and adopted budget and 5th IDP will be made available for the public to consume after the timeframe as prescribed by the legislation, copies of both the both the budget and 5th IDP will be available in our public libraries and Municipal website and we believe that our people will visit this platforms to perfect the same.

WATER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION.

The Community of Maquassi Hills is informed of a supply interruption emanating from a pipe burst between Leeudoringstad and Witpoort, the service provider's technical team is on site attending to the same.

The continuous pipe burst is characterized by our ailing infrastructure which is also unable to cater for the demand as our communities have grown, since the last infrastructural upgrade of our pipework...

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this unfortunate situation and promise to speedily resolve the issue..

The SLC of Maquassi Hills Local Municipality is in session to rubricate on developments in the Municipality, the session amongst others is ceased with the discussion of selling pieces of lands for developments of shopping complex or outlet in both Leeudoringstad and Makwassie to ease of the burden of travelling from their homes to make shopping in Wolmaransstad which makes it quite difficult and expensive as they should pay for both their goods and transport...

The public will be kept up to speed in relation to the same.
