EFFSC WESTVILLE BRANCH STATEMENT ON UKZN SRC PRELIMINARY RESULTS.
Receive our revolutionary greetings students of Westville.
"It is not the people who vote that count, it is the people who count that Vote"-Joseph Stalin
It is with great denouncement that we, as the EFFSC Westville branch once again find ourselves being at the receiving end of this colonial racist institution. It is of our belief that the Westville populace have received the preliminary SRC elections results that indicated an unexpected 100% victory for SASCO across all five campuses of this institution.
Along with many students, the EFFSC-WB found these results to be shockingly denouncing and bogus. we fundamentally reject the results under the following submissions.
1.The online voting system lacked transparency as the parties were not presented nor briefed in/during the proceedings of these elections.
2. The effectiveness of the system was non-tested and as a result, showed many visible failures, one of them being students that weren't able to cast their votes as their voting codes indicated that they had already voted.
3.The results showed statistically errors as the number of votes allocated for portfolios exceeded the number of total votes casted for the same portfolios.
We also understand that the national general elections are coming soon hence the incentive to national politians to play partisans in students politics by creating a facile impression that students in higher institutions of learning are voting for SASCO thereby creating a phycological demonstration that the educated youth still finds confidence in the ruling party despite many visible failures of the ruling party.
As the EFFSC, we are of the view that the university and the ANC thuggerised and cooked the SRC results to reflect what they deem lobbying to students and the outside community.
Sasco has clearly taken a sellout position, allowing the management to give them the offices despite the contrary resolution of the collective majority, students. This will greatly impact their activism. They have became one with the Enemy and they will forever be indebted to the Enemy.
The EFFSC is taking the issue to the court of Law and are currently having back to back engagements with all the progressive forces to make sure that students get their justice, that being the party that they genuinely trusted with their votes.
We also have noted the imposed SRC going around residences celebrating the victory that they truly know doesn't belong to them. However, we are happy with the cold reaction demonstrated by students of westville towards these young criminals.
Struggle continues.
Yours in revolution.
