Statement Of COSAS Sipho Mutsi Region On The 42'nd Anniversary Of The Gigantic Students Movement Called The Congress Of South African Students.

Today Marked 42 Years Since The Formation Of The Oldest Student's Movement Is Azania.

Today We Reflect To The Gains Of This Organization Including It's Role On Decolonization Of Education And Participating In The Development Of The Academic Status Quo Of South Africa.

Comrades, History Is Clear That A Year Down The Formation Of COSAS, 90% Of It's Leaders Were Arrested By The Apartheid Government As A Sign Of It's Mitancy And Radicalism, But Today The Congress Movement Has Been Penetrated By Gate Keepers And Political Deliquents Who Mushroomed As Agents Who Are Directly Citated To Kill The Vibrancy Of COSAS.

We Remain Commited A A Decolonized Education System That Will Advocate Pan Africanism Through Promotion Of African Languages In Schools, Through This We Demand That The Department Of Basic Education Must Stop Wrtiting Only English And Afrikaans In Examinations As This Only Benefits Those Who Know Those Languages, These Exams Must Be Translated In All Languages To Benefit All Learners.

Statement Of COSAS Sipho Mutsi Region On Freedom Day

'There In Nothing In The World Greater Than Freedom, It Is Worth Praying For, It Is Worth Losing Your Job For, It Is Worth Going To Jail For, I Would Rather Be A Free Pauper Than A Rich Slave ' Cde Fezile Dabi.

Today marks the 27'th anniversary of freedom day, 27 years ago the people of this country elected a government of their will from an era of enslavement, brutality and violation.

As young people of South Africa, we are 100% behind the expropriation of land without compensation, the Nationalization of mines, banks and the monopolies of this country because you cannot have a political settlement that depends on white magnanimity for serious emancipation, then you must know, you are not having a settlement you are having a shell.

This day must remind us as young people that Father Franz Fannnon Once Said 'Every generation has it's own mission, to fulfill or to abort' our mission as the current generation is to rally behind the redistribution of land and the wealth of mother Azania.

When celebrating Freedom, we must remember our UNSUNG heroes who died for this very same freedom we are enjoying today, we must not only idolize those whom media has made heroes today but those ones whom are not idolized but fought to heavely for the freedom of this land.

This day must remind us of a dream for a prosperous, non sexist, non racial South Africa for all those who live in it, black and white.

Moving towards Local Government Elections, the learners of Lejweleputswa, first time voters will rally behind MotjhaPalong to see a complete generational transformation within the ANC, we believe that ANC Elders and gatekeepers are thinking that ordinary South Africans owe them for going to exile, so this brings about relevancy for our generation to take over the African National Congress by contesting strategic positions in governance and politics, to be able to make the ANC a more effective instrument of liberation in the hands of the people.

"Tell my people that I love them and they must continue the struggle, my blood will norish the tree that will bear the fruits of freedom. Aluta Continua " Kalushi Solomon Mahlangu

End!
