The last four months, July through October 2019 have been pretty hectic with more fire investigations being required than in previous years for this same period. The types of fires have also been varied ranging from vehicle to domestic to small industrial / factory fires. We pray that all those people who have sufferred great loss due to these fires will only become stronger and start afresh with a new zest for what life has to offer and to build in safety mechanisms henceforth to protect family and property from this incredibly destructive element we call Fire.

How to save a life STEP 1: Check for breathing for no more than 10 seconds STEP 2: No breathing or not breathing normally CALL for help STEP 3: Place the heel of your hand in the centre of the chest and PUSH HARD and FAST in the middle of the chest 30 times and blow in the mouth 2 times until you see chest rise. These life saving devices will give you a warning of smoke present in your home and will buy you those critical seconds in the early hours of the morning, when many domestic fires occur, to evacuate your family to safety and possibly, to extinguish the fire. Smoke detectors are available at most hardware stores and large retail outlets and are easily installed. DIY.. keep yourself and your family safe folks. Install that smoke detector as soon as possible and have peace of mind when you go to sleep at night.
