School Skills Competition 2026

Skills Avenue SA invites your school to participate in the “School Skills Competition 2026”, aimed at promoting practical skills, entrepreneurship, safety awareness, and teamwork among learners.

Duration: 3 hours (1 day)
Training Content:
Pine Gel
Dish Washer Liquid
All-Purpose Cleaner
Thick Bleach
PARTICIPATION & GROUPING RULES
Each participating school must form one or more groups.
Group size:
Maximum: 25 participants per group
Minimum: 20 students per group
Each group must have at least one supervising teacher present at all times.
Parents may attend and support learners in an observational and advisory role only.
SAFETY RULES
To ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, the following rules are mandatory:
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
All students must wear protective gloves during practical activities.
Protective masks and aprons are recommended where applicable.
No Ingestion Policy:
No product, ingredient, or chemical may be tasted or ingested under any circumstances.
Supervision:
Students must never work unsupervised.
Teachers and facilitators must monitor all mixing and handling of materials.
Chemical Handling:
Only materials provided or approved by Skills Avenue SA may be used.
No student is allowed to bring external chemicals or substances.
Hygiene:
Hand washing is compulsory after all practical activities.
Emergency Compliance:
Any injury, spillage, or allergic reaction must be reported immediately to facilitators.
Disciplinary Action:
Failure to follow safety rules may result in immediate disqualification of the group.
COMPETITION EVALUATION CRITERIA
Groups will be assessed based on the following:
✅Best Bookkeeping and Record Keeping
✅Best Product Branding
✅Best Seller Group
Judges’ decisions are final and binding.
PARTICIPATION LIMIT
Only 10 schools will be accepted for this programme.
Registration will be processed on a first-come, first- first serve.
