African Independent Congress Youth Movement KZN (AICYM) is a campaign under the African Independent Congress (AIC), an organization that was established in 2005 on December 12. The AIC believes that the future of South Africa is with young African women and men, which is why they made AICYM. AICYM is a campaign held and driven by the youth across different communities in South Africa. AICYM aims to develop authentic and just future South African leaders with excellent leadership skills, great philosophies, empathy, and other qualities that great leaders should possess. AICYM believes that these young leaders can carve a path for all South African youth and let their voices be heard throughout Africa and other continents.
AICYM aims to close the gap between the government and the young people of this country because they are its future leaders. We, as AICYM, aim to equip young South African minds with knowledge that will secure the future of South Africa for future generations. We aim to establish ourselves as the voice and cries of the young men and women of South Africa. We want to build a platform where every voice matters. We aim to let all the cries of the young men and women of South Africa be heard and resolved as they should. AICYM and the AIC believe in the voice of the people as well, meaning the youth of South Africa should also be listened to.
