We hope that the government will be doing something about the collapsed Bridge as a matter of urgency...🤞🤞🤞

"Good day Mhlekazi, sorry for a delay,

Regarding the wash away at the bridge between Tsomo and Stutterheim. Water levels were so high that the Contractor couldn’t commence with clearing the debris on the structure. With assessment and monitoring of water levels, the Contractor was on site on Monday where water levels have significantly dropped. Now the Contractor will be on site on Monday the 27th establishing so commence with works.

Because of water, it was not possible to fully assess the extent of damage to the Bridge, to see if we can still use the existing structure and just connect with layer works to the other side of the road. Or the structure is unsafe to put traffic on, that we will have to demolish and have a new structure all together.

Once all debris has been cleaned, a full assessment will be done on the structure while we build the layer works connecting the bridge.
