Great news to share: over 30 young people from our ward will take part in our Driver Learners Training programme. Today they had their pictures taken, eye test done and dates for the test booked in the Stellenbosch Traffic Department.

Our Ward 23 Committee is excited to present 2 free skills projects this year:

Learner’s License:

We will be offering to help 30 learners, those in need with their or unemployed with their Learner’s License (motor vehicle).

What is does this course include?
- 4 consecutive intensive tutor sessions
- ID photos
- Learner’s license test

Date: TBC with provider after application
Venue: TBC
Cost: Free

Requirements:
- to reside or work in the ward 23
- 18-35 years old
- have a valid ID number
- contact number
- attendance of all 4 consecutive tutor sessions

First Aid (level 1)

Who is this for? Anyone working in physical job, if you feel that you might require this skill to help others in need, you are a student who needs this for skills development or you have a small business and need a staff member to have first aid training for health and safety reasons.

This is a 2 day course, level 1.
Date: 23-24 April
Time: 09:00 - 15:00
Venue: TBC, depending on number of attendees, Ward offices, PMU Building, Mark St.
Cost: Free

Requirements:
- to reside or work in the ward 23
- minimum of 16 years old
- have a valid ID number
- contact number
- attendance of both course days (09:00-15:00)

* this course is not for medical practitioners requiring CPD points.

Very excited about the new flower 🌼 beds and bike racks near Hudson in Dorp Street. Thanks to the Stellenbosch Municipality and we as ward 23 residents will make good use of them.

Thank you to Infrastructure Directorate for responding to our ward's request. However, we would like to compel all business owners and managers in the CBD to take pro-active steps in keeping out town clean. Like not throwing away garbage at night when the cleaning team is only coming tye following day.

To celebrate Mandela Day, we delivered 90 happy packs to the Stellenbosch Night Shelter and worked with the Cluver Markotter team to distribute soup in town central. Happy Mandela Day fellow residents 🥰🥰
