Day 2: Become or gift a Guardian 🐾

One of the most meaningful ways to support Arabella is by becoming a Guardian Pride Member.

Your guardianship helps support Arabella’s lifelong care for one year, including her food, enclosure care, medical needs and the behind-the-scenes care that helps keep her safe and comfortable.

You can also gift someone a guardianship for a year, which makes such a special gift for an animal lover. They will know that their gift is helping support Arabella and her ongoing care.

As a Guardian, you will receive a personalised guardianship certificate to show that you are part of Arabella’s pride, along with quarterly updates on our girl. 🎁

If you have ever wondered why leopards always seem to be sleeping, they are not being lazy. They are just being leopards. 🐆💤

Leopards are masters of napping, typically sleeping or resting for 12 to 18 hours a day!

In the wild, this helps them save energy for hunting, climbing, patrolling and staying alert when they need to be. They are strong, powerful animals, but they are also very clever with how they conserve their energy.

So the next time you see Gabriel having a long nap, remember: he is not wasting the day. He is recharging in true leopard style. 🐾

Today we celebrate the heavenly birthday of a very special soul. 🤍🕊️

Our beautiful split-gene lion, Jubatus, would have turned 17 today. This is his first birthday with our Spirit Pride since he passed away almost a year ago.

Jubatus carried both brown and white genetics, something highly sought after in the breeding industry. But to us, he was never defined by that. He was Juba.

💜 A gentle giant.
💜 A wise soul.
💜 A protector.
💜 A lion with the softest presence and the sweetest mumble grumbles.

He spent his days in peace alongside his lifelong companion, Achilles, who has also passed on. 🐾

Life is very different without him.

We miss walking past his enclosure and seeing him tucked behind a shrub that was only a quarter of his size, completely convinced we could not see him. And then, in true Jubatus style, he would suddenly jump out from behind it, as if he had pulled off the greatest surprise.

Those are the little memories that stay with you.

Jubatus, thank you for teaching us that love and kindness are free. Thank you for your wisdom, your protection and the gentle way you moved through this world.

We hope heaven is spoiling you with treats, big boomer balls and all the comfort your beautiful soul deserves. And we hope you are still close to Achilles, maybe even suckling on his ear, just like you always used to do. ❤️

Juba, you were a gentle giant to your core, and you are missed every single day.

Happy 17th birthday in heaven, our special boy. 🦁🤍

Our sweet best-friends-for-life duo, Jazzy cat and Tammy, living their best friend life with us 🐾🌾

There is always something so special about watching these two enjoy the simple things: soft grass, exploring their enclosure and being together.

Jazzy cat, also known as Jasper, and Tammy really do have the sweetest bond. Just two friends enjoying a peaceful moment in the long grass.
