On the postponement of all council inauguration to Tuesday the 23rd November 2021

The EFF note with disgust the decision of the MEC for COGTA in Mpumalanga to postpone all council sittings scheduled to take place from tomorrow the 22nd November to the 23rd November 2021.The EFF has no doubt that the MEC decision is politically motivated given the high contestation of power in the 3 hung municipalities and the massive resignation of councillors in Gert Sibande region.The EFF view the act by the MEC as unfair and irregular as it is meant to protect the ANC and ensure that it remains in power by hook or crook.
The EFF will leave no stone unchanged and will challenge the decision of the MEC indefinitely with the relevant authorities.
