Earn up to R 5 000 when you report illegal fi****ms!

Remember, you can make Januworry a little less stressful. Keep an illegal gun off the streets and put money in your pocket. đŸ’Ș

The Western Cape has a reward system, allowing residents to report the location of illegal fi****ms by dialing 021 466 0011. ☎

The person reporting the firearm can do so anonymously, or they can share their details with the trusted SAPS officers that will field the calls.

The details of the person reporting the fi****ms will under no circumstances be made public.

Upon reporting the firearm, it will be collected by SAPS. Once it is confirmed as an illegal firearm, R 1 500.00 will be awarded to the individual who reported it. When an arrest is made that is directly linked to the firearm, a further R 1 500.00 will be paid to the person who reported it and should there be a conviction that is tied to the firearm, the balance of R 2 000.00 will be paid out to the person who made the report.

For those who are buying fi****ms without going through proper channels let me educate you.

There are three (3) legal principles that must be in place before you produce or shoot yiur weapon.

1. There must be threat to life an not property. Example if you find a person at your house stealing and he is not armed you have no right to shoot him even if he is running away with your TV or cellphone. Even if he wants to hijack your car if he is not putting danger to your life you must not shoot him. Even if you find a man sleeping with your wife in your house if he didn’t put your life in danger then dont shoot. Property can be replaced but human life cannot be replaced. Everyone has a right to life including criminals.

2. The attack must be unlawful. This means you must be the victim. So you can’t be going around provoking people and get into a fight then when you loose then you pull up a firearm. Guns and Ego don’t mix. Make sure you’re the victim and your life was in danger.

3. The attack must be imminent or already begun. If someone says I’m going to stab you tomorrow or one day that is not imminent but if they rock up tomorrow with a knife or firearm and run at you then well take him down.

There’s a misconception that people don’t want to have a gun because if they shoot a person they’ll go to jail
.look if I have to protect my family from being killed or r***d I’ll definitely shoot you an go to jail. We never look for a reason to shoot but to preserve life so don’t make us choose to save our lives or to shoot you.

It is very important to have firm understanding of why we carry fi****ms for self defence and the reason for that is to preserve innocent life as an absolute last resort. Guns are not there to make you a big man, guns are not there to intimidate people, guns are not there to teach people a lesson.

In conclusion, use your firearm as a last resort. Don’t teach people a lesson
for example if someone wants to rob you an they pull up a knife..is your life in danger yes but if the person complies by throwing it away an beg for mercy then is your life still in danger ? No then don’t shoot otherwise you’ll be charged for murder etc. always use your brains fully not anger.

NB: remember not everyone will follow these laws so don’t provoke guys with guns thinking all of them are the same some will kill you and go to jail 😂😂
