On 2026/04/25 at about 5:30a.m information followed regarding CAS **/04/2026 for business robbery and attempted murder.

Operational team proceeded to house number ** Ntsibande street Central Western Jabavu where one suspect was arrested and he lead the operation to the second location where another suspect was found at house number ***3ª Mabhenene street Pimville zone 6 with a replica hand gun. In addition one more suspect was arrested for interference and assault of an on duty Officer who sustained minor injuries.

Yesterday we received a BOLO (Be on a lookout) for 5 motor vehicles which were taken at gunpoint from a dealership in Randfontein. A team was dispatched and followed information which lead to a recovery of one of the motor vehicles (a Toyota Quantum) it was recovered at Diepkloof hostel.

The vehicle was booked in at Lenasia SAPS Impound

At around 15H40 we received a tip-off on a motor vehicle which was hijacked around boksburg & tracking in the soweto vicinity. A team was dispatched and the vehicle was successfully recovered at Emndeni in the bushes.

The vehicle was booked in at Lenasia SAPS Impound

Our team received a tip-off on whereabouts of suspects who were sought for a motor vehicle hijacking & kidnapping.

As we were making our way to the said address we observed a suspicious motor vehicle which was traveling at high speed, we signaled for it to stop and the occupants started firing shots towards our members & we retaliated which lead to a high speed chase, the suspects later abandoned the vehicle & fleed on foot, they were later arrested at bramfischerville by our colleagues. Upon further investigation we learned that the vehicle was reported hijacked earlier in the day at Meadowlands soweto.

We further proceeded to our "hijacking & kidnapping suspects and found different motor vehicle components stored in a shack and others stored in a back room. As we continued our search we recovered a replica firearm used in the commission of crime and cellphones.

The suspects are part of a syndicate that's been hijacking e-hailing vehicles in & around johannesburg. We later recovered a delivery pick up which was hijacked earlier in the day at Zola by the very same suspects.
