The Fezile Dabi District Women's Network Celebration, held under the theme β€œDotted with Dignity and Draped with Wisdom,” took place on Wednesday, 2 September 2026, at The Lokation Lounge in Zamdela.

The event celebrated the dedication, leadership, resilience, and contributions of women within the District, while promoting unity, sisterhood, and professional excellence.

KEY ADDRESSES

Deputy District Commissioner, Brigadier Sefatsa, in her welcoming address, encouraged women to remain operationally focused, disciplined, and committed to performing their duties with professionalism, dignity, and dedication.

Mr Hlumelo Sibeko delivered a presentation on financial management.

Rev Motshele delivered a message of support focused on wisdom.

District Commissioner, Major General Makubo, emphasised the importance of unity, mutual support, and empowering one another to build a stronger and more effective organisation.

SPECIAL RECOGNITION

A special highlight of the celebration was the recognition of Captain Setshego, Chairperson of the Fezile Dabi District Women's Network, for her dedicated service and leadership. She was presented with:

The Municipal Infrastructure Support Agent (MISA) , a Schedule 3 government component of the Department of Cooperative Governance (DCoG), offers Apprenticeship and Experiential Learning skills development opportunities for the 2026/27 financial year.

PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

Successful candidates will be placed in MISA-identified municipalities to facilitate training and work exposure for Apprentices and Experiential Learners. A list of participating municipalities is available on the MISA/COGTA websites.

A. APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME

A three-year Learnership Programme aimed at facilitating training of learners to become Artisans.

Academic Requirements (varies by trade):
