YARD NW Shines at Moses Kotane Local Municipality Career Expo.
The Young farmers made a remarkable impact at the recent Career Expo held at the Moses Kotane Local Municipality.
Highlighting the talents and entrepreneurial spirit of Youth in agriculture. Boitumelo Matshaba YARD member exhibited her innovative Peo ya batswana cannabis products, underscoring the growing role of young entrepreneurs in transforming the agricultural sector.
The event provided youth with the invaluable opportunity to engage with the Minister of Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities and the Minister of Higher Education, fostering dialogue around gender equity, youth empowerment, and opportunities.
Among the dayโs highlights was the participation of the Provincial Chair, Ipeleng Kwadi-Seboni, who served as a speaker on the panel. Sharing her own journey as a farmer, Ipeleng spoke passionately about her milestones in agriculture and the importance of womenโs leadership in the industry.
She encouraged youth to set long-term goals, regularly assess their progress, and focus on overcoming challenges to achieve sustainable growth as entrepreneurs.
Her powerful message emphasized the need for young people to remain determined and committed to their dreams, with an understanding that consistent hard work, self-assessment, and a proactive approach can significantly contribute to entrepreneurial success.
YARDโs participation at the Career Expo not only demonstrated the strength of women-led initiatives in agriculture but also reinforced the organizationโs commitment to supporting young farmers in building sustainable, impactful careers.
