A serious motor vehicle accident has occurred on the N14 near the new Sasol Garage, in the direction of Tarleton, involving a truck and a taxi.

The collision has resulted in serious injuries, and multiple emergency resources have been deployed to the scene.

⚠️ Motorists are urged to:
• Exercise extreme caution when approaching the area
• Reduce speed and remain alert
• Give way to emergency and first responder vehicles
• Consider alternative routes where possible

Please allow emergency personnel the space required to operate safely and effectively.

⚠️ COMMUNITY TRAFFIC ALERT ⚠️

Please take note that 2 trucks were involved in an accident early this morning on the N14 towards Pretoria, just before Drift Boulevard.

Traffic is currently being diverted to Hendrik Potgieter Road, however the traffic lights on Hendrik Potgieter are not working, causing severe congestion and delays.

Please plan your route accordingly, allow extra travel time, and drive safely.

Avoid the area if possible.

🚰 COMMUNITY NOTICE | JOHANNESBURG WATER MAINTENANCE 🚰

Please take note that Johannesburg Water and Rand Water will be conducting major maintenance work from 29 May to 17 July 2026 in a phased approach. Residents in various areas across Johannesburg may experience low water pressure or temporary water outages during this period.

Affected areas may include: 📍 Sandton
📍 Midrand
📍 Randburg/Roodepoort
📍 Soweto
📍 Lenasia
📍 South Hills
📍 Crown Gardens
📍 Aeroton
📍 Alan Manor
📍 Eagles Nest
📍 Naturena and surrounding areas.

⚠️ Residents are encouraged to:
💧 Store enough clean water in advance
💧 Use water sparingly during the maintenance period
💧 Avoid unnecessary water usage to reduce strain on the system
💧 Prepare for possible delays in water restoration after maintenance is completed
