قام السيد علي عشوي، سفير الجزائر بجنوب إفريقيا، بزيارة لمقاطعة نورثن كايب، رفقة السيد ألفين بوتس، نائب وزير الخارجية الجنوب إفريقي وذلك يوم 07 سبتمبر 2026.
وقد تم خلال الزيارة تقديم هبة، تمثلت في الزي المدرسي لعدد معتبر من تلاميذ مدرسة أن جي هاينز المتخصصة، بكمبيرلي، تخللته نشاطات قدمها التلاميذ وخطاب ألقاه سعادة السفير، أكد فيه أهمية التصامن كفضيلة انسانية ، خاصة بين الشعوب والدول الإفريقية.
تميزت المرحلة الثانية بالزيارة التي أداها سعادة السفير إلى الوزير الأول لمقاطعة نورثن كايب والتي تم خلالها مناقشة سبل التعاون بين الجزائر والمقاطعة في عدة قطاعات خاصة المجال الافتصادي.
أما المحطة الأخيرة من الزيارة فكانت في جامعة سول بلاتج حيث نشط سعادة السفير، رفقة السيد نائب الوزير ، محاضرة حول العلاقات الجزائرية الجنوب إفريقية بين التاريخ والمستقبل في ظل أهداف القارة الإفريفية لسنة 2063.
وقد تلت المحاضرة مناقشة مع الطلبة الحاضرين، حول سبل تفعيل العلاقات الجزائرية الجنوب إفريقية والعمل الإفريقي المشترك.
On September 7, 2026, Mr. Ali Achoui, Algeria’s Ambassador to South Africa, visited the Northern Cape Province with Mr. Alvin Botes, South Africa’s Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation.
During the visit, a donation of school uniforms was presented to a significant number of students at the NJ Heyns Special School in Kimberley.
The event featured performances by the students and an address by the Ambassador, in which he emphasized the importance of solidarity as a human virtue, particularly among African peoples and nations.
The second part of the program consisted to visit the Premier of the Northern Cape Province, during which they discussed ways for cooperation between Algeria and the province across various sectors, with a particular focus on the economy.
The final stop of the visit was at Sol Plaatje University, where the Ambassador and the Deputy Minister met the Dean and the staff of the faculty of humanities sciences, and where they delivered lectures on Algerian-South African relations, spanning history and the future within the context of the African continent's Agenda 2063 goals.
The lectures were followed by a debate with the students present regarding ways to enhance Algerian-South African relations and joint African action.
