📈 In recent weeks, we have been supporting representatives from Saprograf, SATCO, FOB Trading and Laboratorio CDV, to advance initiatives aimed at identifying new business opportunities and gaining access to high-value markets in the biotechnology, food and chemical industry solutions sectors.

🇦🇷🤝🇳🇦 Embassy mission to Namibia aimed at deepening trade, sanitary and cooperation ties, with a focus on strategic sectors for both countries.

🌾 We identified concrete opportunities for joint work in animal and plant genetics, beef production, and the development of agro-industrial value chains.

🐄 The sanitary agenda was central: Namibian authorities and private sector representatives highlighted Argentina’s model for combating foot-and-mouth disease, and possibilities for closer cooperation at different levels were discussed.

🏭 Opportunities were identified for Argentine companies in machinery and equipment for the food industry.

🐎 Argentine polo is already beginning to leave its mark in Namibia: Argentine horses, equipment and professionals are taking part in the development of .na, the country’s first polo club, opening new opportunities for exports, tourism and high value-added services.

Del 12 al 15 de mayo, empresas argentinas estuvieron presentes en NAMPO 2026, una de las principales exposiciones agropecuarias del hemisferio sur y organizada por en NAMPO Park, Bothaville, provincia de Free State.

En esta edición, representantes de .sa, , y formaron parte de un stand institucional coordinado por , mostrando la capacidad de nuestro país en maquinaria agrícola, implementos, tecnología aplicada al agro y sanidad animal.

Además, , y se hicieron presentes a través de sus distribuidores, mientras que otras empresas y consorcios como y participaron del evento buscando nuevos socios locales.

El Ministro de Agricultura sudafricano, , visitó en dos ocasiones el stand argentino, en las que se reunió con Embajador en Sudáfrica y conoció las actividades de las empresas argentinas presentes.
NAMPO volvió a confirmar el potencial de la Argentina como socio estratégico para el desarrollo agroindustrial, la innovación tecnológica y el fortalecimiento de los vínculos productivos con Sudáfrica. 🌱🚜🇦🇷🇿🇦

🍷🇦🇷 Promoting Argentine wine in South Africa

The Embassy offered an Argentine wine tasting featuring labels from Bodegas Argento, Rutini, and 2456, which are not currently available on the South African market.

The tasting was guided by South African sommelier Mary Lyn Rath, who shared insights into Argentine wine and the labels and wineries presented throughout the evening.

Guests also enjoyed a traditional Argentine dinner at Che Argentine Grill, offering a taste of Argentina’s culinary traditions alongside its wines.

The Embassy continues to work actively with the goal of generating greater exports to South Africa and the broader Southern African region.

🍷🇦🇷 Promocionando el vino argentino en Sudáfrica

La Embajada ofreció una degustación de vinos argentinos con etiquetas de Bodegas Argento, Rutini y 2456, que actualmente no se encuentran disponibles en el mercado sudafricano.

La degustación estuvo guiada por la sommelier sudafricana Mary Lyn Rath, quien compartió información sobre el vino argentino, así como sobre las etiquetas y bodegas presentadas durante la velada.

Los invitados también disfrutaron de una cena tradicional argentina en Che Argentine Grill, que permitió acercarse a las tradiciones culinarias argentinas junto a sus vinos.

La Embajada continúa trabajando activamente con el objetivo de generar mayores exportaciones hacia Sudáfrica y la región del África Austral.

A weekend of tango in Johannesburg

Dancers from across the community came together for classes, workshops, and milongas led by international maestros Rui Barroso and Magdalena Gutierrez, in an atmosphere full of music, connection, and shared passion for tango.

From technique sessions to late-night dancing, the weekend celebrated not only Argentine tango as a cultural tradition, but also the vibrant tango community that continues to grow in South Africa.

Special thanks to Monja Boonzaier and Milonga Milonguita for convening such a special weekend, which we had the pleasure to support.

Un fin de semana de tango en Johannesburgo

Bailarines de toda la comunidad se reunieron para participar de clases, talleres y milongas encabezadas por los maestros internacionales Rui Barroso y Magdalena Gutierrez, en un ambiente lleno de música, encuentro y pasión compartida por el tango.

Desde sesiones técnicas hasta largas noches de baile, el fin de semana celebró no solo al tango argentino como tradición cultural, sino también a la vibrante comunidad tanguera que continúa creciendo en Sudáfrica.

Un agradecimiento especial a Monja Boonzaier y Milonga Milonguita por organizar un fin de semana tan especial, que tuvimos el placer de apoyar.
