1. Description
This programme falls within the programmes of Abundance Home of Life and seek to assist children in the schools with the following by providing the proper support to the children and Guardians who look after the children. Abundance Home of Life saw the need that children who reside at the centres have the help from the government with the grants that the Department of Social Development sign with the various centres in the country. We saw the need to reach out to the children who are well cared for at homes and not abused .We give support to these guardians by providing the under mentioned:
This age group is the theoretical target for most Orphans programmes. Programmes services mainly targeted school age children (ages 6-17 yrs). This is due to reliance on identification at schools and a better working together with school principals and committee
We place special emphasis on young children (ages 6-17 yrs). The government cut-off age for OVC support is 18 years. We adhere to OVC programmes of government age cut off and prepare the children for a life after this support programme. Main services provided include psychosocial, educational, and nutritional support.

2. Who are the Beneficiaries? The beneficiaries are attending in local schools and AHOL Caregivers works in relation with the schools committees that identify these children and their identity and privacy is protected. The idea is to restore the confidence of the child at the school by giving them clothing, school uniform and shoes to look similar to the other children. AHOL seek to promote a vulnerable child to a state where this child looks even better than the child with both parents caring for the child.
3. Beneficiary Identification

Abundance Home of Life has partnered with schools around Hammanskraal in identifying the beneficiaries in school. When we started with the research whether these beneficiaries does exist in schools or not, we were met with a shocking reality that though children are placed in centres and funding is allocated; there are still children outside the system who are severely suffering. These children some still have biological parents and some are orphans but they are well looked after and they are not exposed to any abuse. This program needs to bring stability in the caring of these children by empowering both the children and the caregivers in caring better for our future generation.

4. Caregivers weekly work

Every caregiver is assigned 10 Beneficiaries that they keep track of in the schools, homes and sports activities .The Caregivers motivate the child to continue learning and check the child books and homework’s to make sure that the child progress well at school. In the event when the child has a problem that is reported to the Centre Manager and the Social workers in the weekly meetings and interventions strategies are planned and implemented. The are various reports that the caregiver have to furnish and the attendance register that the guardian have to sign off and the Social Worker or the Social Auxiliary worker to go door to door and verify the authenticity of reports and signatures in the reports and to and check with the children. AHOL has adopted a programme as it the effective tool that give children a good progress scholastics, social and sports wise.
