The 4th National Natural Capital Accounting (NCA) Forum is underway in Pretoria under the theme โ๐จ๐ป๐น๐ผ๐ฐ๐ธ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ก๐ฎ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒโ๐ ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐น๐๐ฒ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ ๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐๐ต ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ป๐ฐ๐น๐๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐๐๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐โ, marking the sixth year of implementation of South Africaโs National NCA Strategy.
Hosted by Stats SA in partnership with DFFE, South African National Biodiversity Institute, Department of Water and Sanitation South Africa and United Nations Development Programme - UNDP, the two-day forum brings together key stakeholders to advance the use of natural capital information in decision-making, policy and planning for a sustainable and inclusive future.
DFFE Director-General Ms Nomfundo Tshabalala is currently taking part in a High-Level Panel Discussion titled โNature as a National Asset: Strengthening Leadership, Policy and Finance for Sustainable Developmentโ, highlighting the importance of strong leadership, sound policy and sustainable financing in recognising and protecting the value of nature.
