This October, the Italian Cultural Institute in Pretoria is bringing a little piece of Rome to South Africa!

From 16 to 23 October 2026, the renowned Teatro Verde Company will tour South Africa and Namibia with two extraordinary performances for children, families, schools and audiences of all ages.

As part of the 26th Edition of the Italian Language Week in the World, we’re bringing a little piece of Rome to Johannesburg!

On Saturday, 17 October, Teatro Verde from Rome presents Pocket Circus, a joyful and imaginative performance for children, parents and the whole family.

Italy comes to the big screen with La Grazia, the latest film by acclaimed Italian director Paolo Sorrentino, starring Toni Servillo and Anna Ferzetti.

An intimate and compelling story about love, family, duty, justice and personal responsibility, La Grazia follows Mariano De Santis, the fictional President of the Italian Republic, as he approaches the end of his mandate.

Faced with two requests for presidential pardon, he must navigate difficult questions of justice and compassion — while confronting his own memories, convictions and relationship with his daughter.

Sono aperte le candidature alla nona edizione del Premio “L’innovazione che parla italiano”, promosso dal MAECI in collaborazione con PNICube.
Il premio è rivolto a cittadini italiani fondatori o co-fondatori di startup tecnologiche innovative che operano in Sudafrica, fondate da non più di cinque anni.
La selezione premierà realtà con forte contenuto tecnologico, capacità di innovazione, crescita, competitività e potenziali ricadute positive sull’Italia.
