As partners we touch hands, lift one another before Christ in prayer and work towards sustainable biblical transformation. Ministry-, movement- and church leaders all over SA will be taking hands in a united effort to serve local communities towards sustainable, biblical transformation by means of a movement called Fire Trails. Partners include: Angus Buchan from Shalom Ministries, Isak Burger fr
om the AFM Church, Graham Power from GDOP and Unashamedly Ethichal, AyJay Jantjies from the Khoi Foundation, Bennie Mostert from Jericho Walls, Peter Sekhonyane from NEPWO, Elza Meyer from Turn2God, Lindie Gouws from My World Ministries, Moreleta Park Church, Every Home for Christ, Gate Way and many more. The important thing is that Christians and Christian churches are invited take hands to unite in serving the community for 40 days, early March until 16 April 2011. Over more than a century several people saw a picture of South Africa, with trails or trains of fire running from the south towards the north. This vision is now becoming a reality with leaders taking hands in unifying the body of Christ as far as possible by taking spiritual responsibility for the future of our beloved country.
“The fire trails originated in the biblical understanding that God’s fire fell several times on an altar in the Bible. By giving ourselves to God as a living sacrifice, we pray for a release of God’s manifested glory in our time,” says Elza Meyer. Four trails will be covered by several “trains” consisting of action groups, travelling by car, bus or train, visiting towns and cities on invitation. Schools and the market place will be advised to take hands with churches in taking responsibility for the spiritual climate in their towns and cities. They trust God for a result in the physical dimension: crime diminishing and people acting unashamedly ethical. Individuals, organisations and churches are invited to join the movement. “It will be wonderful if 400 towns and cities are impacted by God’s love in these 40 days,” Meyer states. Register via www.firetrails.co.za a response on invitation if you would like to join this national movement. Elza Meyer
