the SANDF and 4 Artillery Regiment carried out a border operation in Limpopo over the weekend and seized a large amount of illegal goods. The items included copper, explosives and detonators, illegal fuel, alcohol and other illicit goods.

The biggest seizure was explosives and detonators worth about R342,500. These were handed over to the SAPS Bomb/Explosives Unit because they could be dangerous and need specialist handling.

The soldiers also arrested 18 undocumented people from Zimbabwe. They were handed over to immigration officials, who will deal with their immigration status. The operation was carried out under Operation CORONA, which is the SANDF's ongoing border security operation

To some Nigerians who keep coming into my comment section saying that Black South Africans are poor, don't travel, or have nothing to offer—let me say this respectfully but firmly. 🇿🇦

1. If South Africans are so poor, why are you living in South Africa?

2. If you believe Nigeria is better, why are some of you trying to obtain South African citizenship or permanent residence?

3. If your country is so much better, why did you leave Nigeria to look for greener pastures in South Africa?

4. If you constantly complain about crime and everything wrong with South Africa, why do you continue choosing South Africa as a place to live and work?

5. If you believe you are richer and better off than South Africans, why not return home and build Nigeria?

6. Don't confuse wealth with travelling abroad. A person does not have to travel around the world to prove that they are successful. Wealth is not measured by the number of countries someone has visited.

7. Please stop disrespecting Black South Africans in their own country. 🇿🇦 You can criticize policies or problems without insulting an entire population.

8. Leaving your country to search for better opportunities does not make you a failure—but it also doesn't give you the right to look down on the people of the country that welcomed you.

9. Black South Africans make up the overwhelming majority of South Africa's population. Their strength and wealth cannot be measured simply by how many of them travel overseas. People have different priorities, opportunities and definitions of success.

And finally, South Africa remains one of Africa's most industrialized and economically developed countries. 🇿🇦 That does not mean South Africa has no problems—it means we should be honest enough to recognize both its strengths and its challenges.

I respect Nigerians, and I respect Nigeria. But respect must go both ways.

If you are living in South Africa, working in South Africa, doing business in South Africa or seeking opportunities in South Africa, respect the people and the country that you are living in.

Africa is big enough for Nigeria and South Africa to succeed together. 🇳🇬🤝🇿🇦🌍

These are Lesotho nationals who allegedly killed 13 people and injured 14 others…After their arrest, police reportedly recovered more than 100 guns from one of their homes.

Yet whenever illegal immigration is discussed, some people insist that Lesotho nationals should be excluded from the conversation because they are "practically South African" and therefore have every right to be here.

Why?
