Every Monday & Wednesday
6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Starting Monday, 6 September

Please join us from the very first class, because this is a course that will build from one lesson to the next. If you miss a class, you may miss an important part of the course — so don’t miss out!

We’re getting closer to one of South Africa’s key gatherings at the intersection of government, technology and digital transformation.

From 21–23 September 2026, government, industry leaders, innovators and technology experts will converge at the Durban ICC to connect, exchange ideas and explore solutions that can help shape South Africa’s digital future.

Under the theme “Building Towards Digital Sovereignty, South Africa as an Architect of its Digital Destiny for Citizens,” GovTech 2026 puts the spotlight on building a digitally empowered, innovative and citizen-centred government.

The Department of Communications and Digital Technologies (DCDT) leadership joined the Film and Publication Board (FPB) at its Annual General Meeting (AGM), where the entity presented its performance against the 2025/26 Annual Performance Plan and financial performance for the year ended 31 March 2026.

The AGM was attended by Minister Solly Malatsi, Deputy Minister Mondli Gungubele, Director-General Ms Nonkqubela Jordan-Dyani and senior DCDT officials, providing an important platform for engagement between the Executive Authority and the FPB Council on the entity’s performance, challenges and priorities.

Minister Malatsi commended the FPB on achieving a clean audit outcome, reflecting important progress in sound governance and financial management.

Looking ahead, the Minister emphasised the importance of sustaining this achievement while strengthening the FPB’s financial sustainability, procurement governance, consequence management and the quality of performance information.

The Minister further called for practical action on the FPB’s revenue and sustainability challenges, including clear implementation of recommendations arising from the GTAC Revenue Enhancement review, with measurable timelines and accountability.

Through engagements such as the AGM, DCDT continues to strengthen oversight and support its entities in delivering accountable, sustainable and impactful public services.
