Minimum requirements:

• Registered with SACSSP & proof of payment of annual fee for 2023/24
• Knowledge of developmental social work, Children’s Act and child protection services
• Computer literacy MS Word and Microsoft Excel
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive
• Police Clearance Certificate and or Form 30
• Local resident of Nelson Mandela Metro
• Must speak and write Afrikaans and English fluently

Salary & benefits commensurate and negotiable within the scales of the ACVV.

On 9 July and 27 August 2022, management and staff made jaffles as part of the fundraising effort.

Thank you the sponsors for the donations towards the fundraisers: Sareta, Mary-Ann, Elmarie, Zahn as well as the staff and management to contributing their time.

This money will be used towards the servicing of the vehicle.

In July 2022, we received his fabulous quilt from the 'Babblelappers' to aid in fundraising for the organisation.

The quilt was made to commemorate National Quilt Day. The Babblelappers meet once a week at Sumari Pretorius shop, Skatkislap which is situated in in Charlo. They do have a page if you are interested to see more about quilting.

This single bed quilt are being raffled at R10 a ticket. If you are interested to support this child protection organisation and perhaps win the quilt, you can contact Sanet at 084 800 1234 or phone Busi on 0763253319 to arrange to buy tickets.

The draw will be made on 29 September 2022 at the AGM. Winner will be announced on Facebook.

One of the social workers from ACVV PE Noord attended the workskhop.

One of the social workers from ACVV PE Noord attended the workskhop.

On 5/07; 6/07 and 08/07 20 social workers participated and completed the workshop on Removal of Children.

They represented the following organisations: CMR, APD, Lifeline and ACVV.

The group consisted of new social workers, first time in the field and experienced social workers.

Two social work practitioners from the organisation, Miss Lazarus and Ms Kwanini had the opportunity to attend the workshop.

A face-to-face workshop took place with 15 social service practitioners from Gqeberha.

Thank you to Protea Child Care Centre for the venue as well as Anton with the help of the set up.

Loadshedding was a challenge, but we made it.

CHILD PROTECTION WEEK - DAY 5

The Social Workers set up an information desk in Ward 19 of the Kwazakhele Community. The Social Workers engaged with the Community Members on the different types of abuse, where and how to report the abuse.

The Social Workers delivered food parcels to Community Members at the Kudu Flats in Sidwell.

The Social Workers informed the Community Members about services rendered and encouraged Community Members to report any abuse.

Our Social Workers presented at Ben Nyati Primary School. The learners at Ben Nyati Primary learnt about the effects and consequences of drugs and alcohol abuse.

The learners engaged well on the topics and learnt valuable lessons about the topics discussed.

CHILD PROTECTION WEEK - DAY 3

The program for day 3 was conducted at Tshume Primary School. The presentation was on the effects and consequences of teenage pregnancy and the effects of drug and alcohol abuse.

The learners enjoyed the group work session and the Social Workers enjoyed getting feedback from the learners about what they have learnt from the program.
