📚 HISTORY LESSON | SOUTH AFRICA

Colonialism in South Africa marked a turning point that led to the displacement and exploitation of indigenous communities, particularly the Khoi and San.

The arrival of Jan van Riebeeck and the Dutch East India Company in 1652 began European settlement, disrupting traditional ways of life and expanding colonial control.

This system later deepened through laws like the 1913 Land Act, which limited Black land ownership to just 7%, and further through apartheid (1948–1994), where land dispossession and forced segregation shaped generations.

Today, the effects are still felt through economic inequality, land struggles, and the ongoing pursuit of justice and restoration.

A history to remember. A future to rebuild.

"VOTE NOG VIR DIE DA..!!"‎

Message of Support to Mr Wesley Neumann

‎I wish to extend my heartfelt congratulations and unwavering support to Mr Wesley Neumann on his reinstatement as Principal of Heathfield High School, following a long and arduous five-year battle that began during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.

‎The court’s ruling not only restores your position but also affirms the principles of fairness, accountability, and justice. It is deeply concerning that millions of rands in public funds were lost through fruitless and wasteful expenditure, yet reassuring that the truth has finally prevailed. This judgment sends a strong message that no educator should be subjected to prolonged persecution for doing their duty under extraordinary circumstances.

‎Your reinstatement is not just a personal victory; it is a victory for educators, for justice, and for ethical leadership in public administration. Today, justice prevails, and your perseverance stands as an inspiration to many across our country.

‎From the Eastern Cape Province, I stand in full solidarity with you. As a long-term supporter who stood with you as early as 2020, during my tenure as a National Constituency Official of a political party, I witnessed firsthand the resilience, dignity, and strength with which you confronted what has now been confirmed by the Labour Court as an unjust decision by the Western Cape Education Department, with millions of rands in public funds were squandered through fruitless and wasteful expenditure, while a respected educator was unfairly removed and forced to fight for his dignity. This is not governance in the public interest.

‎Communities must take note. This case highlights why we must seriously reconsider continuing to place our trust and votes in the Democratic Alliance. This is how people of calibre, commitment, and conscience are treated under their administration. We cannot remain silent or divided while injustice is normalised.

‎May this chapter mark a renewed season of service, healing, and restored confidence in our education system.

‎With respect and solidarity.

Only 30 or so people knew where exactly Auta !Nanseb's grave was situated and they died one by one with these secret to avoid the Germans from taking his head to Germany for racist scientific studies. Kaptein Witboois writings were entered into the World Heritage Record by UNESCO, a rare reward for a African revolutionary of that time! Kaptein Witbooi died on the horseback, age 75, in active battle against the German Imperial army during the Genocidal War of 1904 to 1908! What an inspiration, Salute Sida Gaotse!
