In memory of Linda Louise Swain, Edge Financial Group recently donated R10 000 to the Animal Anti-Cruelty League in Port Elizabeth.

Linda was a passionate advocate for animals and cared deeply about the work the AACL does within our community. This donation honours her compassion, kindness, and the lasting impact she had on the lives of so many animals in need.

Thank you to the team at the AACL for the incredible work you continue to do every day 🐾

Hi Everyone.
Thank you for your patience, and apologies to everyone we had to turn away today. It was mass cleanup after the storm and water damage, but both BARGAIN BOX and BARGAIN BOX TOO will be up and running from Monday, 11 May.
Please continue to support us. We at ANIMAL ANTICRUELTY LEAGUE cannot help all the distressed, sick and/or abused furbabies out there without your help, both by means of donations and by supporting our shops.
Thank you also, to everyone who helped with the cleanup. We sincerely appreciate your kindness.
Regards,
Cheryl, Megan and Kathy

Hi Everyone.
Unfortunately both Bargain Box and Bargain Box Too (Animal Anti-Cruelty League NPO shops) will be closed until further notice. Please bear with us during this difficult time and should you wish to make any contributions, eg towels, blankets, animal food etc, please contact me on 0662370846 for drop off addresses.
Thank you everyone, for your support, always

With the predicted severity of the upcoming weather, AACL is urgently asking for your help. If you have any newspapers, used towels, blankets, bedding - anything that can provide warmth, please could you drop at either 30 Kragga Kamma Road, Sunridge Park, our Bargain Box Shop, 9th Avenue Walmer or at our AACL Clinic, University Road, Cleary Park. Anything like pallets to raise animals out of water, any homes/churches/community halls/veterinary practices or kennels that have spare cages - please help us to help them. Members of the public who have room to take in an extra animal or two until the flooding subsides, please contact the below numbers. The need for extra food will also be great. If anyone is able to cook up rice with pets mince or the like and put into ice-cream tubs, our AACL team will deliver. The low-lying Northern areas are always badly affected at times like these. Our teams will be out there to release chained animals and to check on any casualties or needs. Please share far and wide and let's truly make a difference to those who cannot speak for themselves. Thank you, one and all. Beverley: 082 654 2852 or Karien: 079667 8667.

Shout out of note! R30 000 in the kitty for AACL and those who cannot speak for themselves, loads of prizes and great fun had by all.
My heartfelt thanks to that amazing couple, Mike and Gael Nicholls, who so kindly always give up part of their holiday to do this for the animals. It it a huge gift. This one all fell into place through amazing teamwork. My most grateful thanks to Hilary Truscott and
Vanessa Heidtmann for stepping in from the AACL side; Eddie from Eddie Macs at VP for so kindly re-arranging bookings and granting complimentary use of the venue. He has always been there for the animals; to Tracy for so efficiently organising the food orders and Kerry Hiles for helping us with a last-minute sound system.
Wonderful prizes were donated by Gael Nicholls, Beverley Jane Bartlett Anne Kaese, Jackie Gray and Johan Prinsloo. Our most grateful thanks to Scotrho Insurance Brokers and Dave Mackenzie for the printing.
And then the amazing overseas friends who still support! Marion McPherson, Robert Stewart and family, Gael and Mike Nicholls in memory of their beloved Harry kitty-kat and the wonderful Ros Coulson who matched whatever we made. It takes a village. You are all phenomenal and from the bottom of my heart - thank you to everyone who attended or was a part of this special occasion.
My love and gratitude are eternal and so is that of all the animals in need that will benefit from your kindness and generosity.
