Happy international volunteers day. What a better day to post and celebrate our amazing volunteers at the Re-Trade project whom we had the privilege of celebrating this week!
Here is a word of thanks from our ED:
To all the incredible volunteers of the ReTrade Project,
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
What you give is far more than your time and energy — you give hope, dignity, and opportunity. Every item sorted, every exchange facilitated, every smile shared plays a part in restoring value, not just to materials, but to people. You are the hands and hearts behind a movement that proves bartering is not dead, that sustainability is possible, and that compassion can radically change lives.
As the Director of the ReTrade Project, I am deeply humbled by your commitment, your kindness, and your belief in the vision. You show up again and again, not because you have to, but because you care — and that is extraordinary.
Thank you for standing with us, for lifting others up, and for helping turn “waste” into worth. This work simply wouldn’t be possible without you.
