🏆 Celebrating research excellence! 🏆
The Faculty of Business and Economic Sciences is proud to celebrate the achievements of our students at the Eastern Cape Research Competition and Awards, hosted by the Eastern Cape Department of Economic Development, Environmental Affairs and Tourism (DEDEAT). The annual competition aims to strengthen collaboration between government and academia by supporting research that addresses developmental challenges and contributes to evidence-based policymaking in the Eastern Cape.
👏 Kamvaelihle Mgidlana secured 2nd place, earning R50 000 per annum for two years towards Master’s studies.
👏 Ngawo Mati achieved 3rd place, receiving R30 000 per annum for two years towards Master’s studies.
👏 Yolisa Mtshisa placed 5th overall in a highly competitive provincial field.
With three students ranked among the top five researchers in the province, this achievement reflects the strength of our postgraduate research, the dedication of our students, and the valuable support provided by our academic staff and review panel.
We are incredibly proud to see our students contributing research that addresses real developmental challenges and supports evidence-based policymaking in the Eastern Cape.
Congratulations to Kamvaelihle, Ngawo, and Yolisa on this remarkable achievement! 🎉
