Reasons to be proud- Our sanitary and toiletries drive was a huge success. As as a result, a few members of the RCL body and the RCL executives were able to hand over our donations to the Missionvale Care Centre.

As an organization they pride themselves on uplifting and developing youth in the community, it was a wonderful experience contributing to such a worthy cause.

We are truly proud of our RCL body for leading this initiative, and our learners for their heartfelt donations.

Thank you to each and every learner and parent who donated, big or small you have made a huge impact.

🌍 REASONS TO BE PROUD! 🏆🚣🏽‍♀️ - We are incredibly proud of our alumnus, Aphiwe Mhlakwaphalwa, who continues to make waves beyond the classroom! 🌊

Aphiwe is making her mark in the university rowing club, representing herself with distinction while travelling the world and embracing opportunities that take her far beyond the familiar.

What makes us even prouder is hearing her speak so positively about her journey and experiences during a live interview on Expresso...SABC 3. Seeing one of our former learners confidently sharing her story on national television is a beautiful reminder of the impact of perseverance, courage and determination.

Aphiwe, your journey inspires us. You are a wonderful ambassador of what is possible when you choose growth over comfort and opportunity over fear.

Healthcare Outreach - THANK YOU, TLC GOVAN MBEKI STREET PHARMACY! 💙

On Friday, we had the honour of hosting the team from TLC Govan Mbeki Street Pharmacy for their Healthcare Outreach & Career Awareness Programme.

Our Grade 10 learners were inspired by Pharmacist and Senior Lecturer at Nelson Mandela University, who opened their eyes to Pharmacy as a rewarding career and the many opportunities within the pharmaceutical industry. Our learners were engaged, curious and full of questions.

We are also grateful to the nurses who conducted voluntary, confidential health screenings for our staff with such professionalism and care.

Thank you to the TLC team for your generous donation of sanitary pads and Mathematics study guides.

You didn't just visit us; you educated, empowered and inspired us. This is the beginning of a lasting partnership.

LAST ASSEMBLY - Friday the 21st of August 2026 marked a very special milestone for our Matric Class of 2026 as they gathered for their final assembly before embarking on their Trial Examinations next week Tuesday. 📚

The assembly was filled with reflection, encouragement and a powerful reminder that leadership is not about a title, but about the legacy we leave behind.

As our Grade 12 prefects were formally relieved of their duties, the leadership baton was passed on to a new generation of Grade 11 Acting Prefects, who will carry the responsibility forward for the remainder of the year. 🏃🏾‍♂️🏃🏾‍♀️

The theme of the assembly, “Be Your Brother’s Keeper,” captured the spirit of what we hope our learners will carry with them, not only into their examinations, but into life. Look out for one another. Encourage one another. Stand together. No one should walk this journey alone.

To our Matrics: the final stretch is here. Trust the work you have put in, believe in yourselves, support each other and finish strong as you started strong. We believe in you. 🙏

To our incoming Acting Prefects: the baton is now in your hands. Carry it with pride, humility and purpose.

Our learners were invited by the Nelson Mandela Bay Theatre Complex, to celebrate 10 years of the Women in ARTS Manyano. An event meant to commemorate the legacy of women's strength and resilience.

The girls had the opportunity to listen to a panel of incredible women from different fields, including the arts, business and academia. They shared their stories and imparted invaluable wisdom, lessons and advice to the girls.

It was a perfect way to celebrate the legacy of those who came before, and inspire the next generation of strong women. A perfect way to honour Women's Month.
