Dear Valued Clients and Property Practitioners

As you may know, a crucial document required for the successful lodgement and registration of a property at the Deeds Office is the Transfer Duty Receipt which your chosen Conveyancer obtains electronically from SARS.
Since the end of 2021 Conveyancers nationwide have experienced a somewhat longer turn around time from SARS.
At present the general turn around time is between 14 to 21 business days. In the event that SARS requires supporting documents it may take even longer.
A minimum of 10 days after upload of the supporting documents must pass before a delay on the issue of a Transfer Duty Receipt can be escalated.
Kindly note that the SARS application is only lodged once the Conveyancing firm is in possession of all necessary F**A documents of all parties and a copy of the Title Deed in order to ensure accuracy of the necessary details.
Despite delays we assure you of our best service at all times.

We are pleased to inform our clients and Estate Agents that the Pretoria Deeds Office will reopen tomorrow 17 February 2022. Pending registrations will thus proceed to be finalised and new transactions may be lodged as from tomorrow.

Heyns & Partners regret to inform our clients and estate agents that the Pretoria Deeds Office is currently closed and will remain closed until further notice. Due to the closure of the Deeds Office no new lodgements will be taking place and current lodged transactions will experience a delay in registration.
All other Deeds Offices remain open and operational at the time of this post. Thus it is only transactions relating to properties situated in Pretoria and some parts of North-West that will be affected.

With inspiration from Thabazimbi's kind hearted residents and as part of the community Heyns & Partners would like to announce that for the month of Novemeber 2021 (starting 1 November 2021) we will be offering consultations at R100. All funds raised will be donated to Helga.
Helga is a 13 year old girl who has been diagnosed with a tumor behind her eye which carries significant risk to her health. In times that are already harsh, given the current Covid 19 Pandemic, the family has to cover very high medical costs as well as day to day living costs and also have extra expenses for travelling and Helgas special diet.
Please contact our offices on 014 7722 163 to arrange for a consultation to assist Helga and her family. Kindly note that these consultations will be limited to 30mins and that the legal practitioners are not obligated to accept any mandate. Only one consultation per person will be allowed.
