Today, we are at the Radisson Hotel Safari in Hoedspruit for the 2026 Winter Campaign Joint Media Launch between the Limpopo Tourism Agency (LTA) and the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA).

This strategic collaboration aims to position Limpopo and Mpumalanga as a seamless, integrated tourism destination during the winter season under the powerful theme:
✨ β€œTWO PROVINCES. ONE DESTINATION.”

The campaign highlights the rich and diverse experiences across both provinces β€” from wildlife and nature to culture and adventure β€” encouraging travellers to explore more, stay longer, and experience the best of both worlds.

🌍 Together, we are strengthening regional tourism and driving economic growth through collaborative destination marketing.

πŸŒπŸƒ ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT IN ACTION – BIODIVERSITY MONTH

LEDET, together with key stakeholders, hosted an Environmental Management Workshop at Vergenoeg Village (Mogalakwena), empowering communities on sustainable practices and conservation.

Presentations covered environmental planning, land-use management, forestry legislation (National Forests Act 84 of 1998), and the protection of indigenous plants and endangered species. Communities were urged to apply for permits before cutting protected trees and to play an active role in safeguarding natural resources.

The workshop highlighted that effective planning and environmental protection are shared responsibilities between government, municipalities, traditional leaders, and communities. 🌱 🌿

BIODIVERSITY IN ACTION AT BLOUBERG! 🐾🌿

Today, the Limpopo Department of Economic Development, Environment & Tourism is proudly celebrating World Biodiversity and Endangered Wildlife Species Day at the Blouberg Nature Reserve in the Capricorn District Municipality.

This important celebration brings together students and community members to raise awareness about the value of biodiversity and the urgent need to protect our endangered wildlife species.

Aligned with the 2026 theme, β€œAct locally for global impact”, we are reminded that every action we take at community level contributes to protecting our planet for future generations. 🌍
