We have taken note of the rather disturbing views expressed by an elite few in our beloved town of Plettenberg Bay. We as the Plett Democratic Congress categorically states that the decision to withdraw from the coalition with the DA and AUF was not a decision of Councillor Terblanche but that of the Plett Democratic Congress whom he represents. It is rather concerning that the same Plett Ratepayers Association that has just in their recent report to their members highlighted numerous concerns with the current administration. The very same PRA has sent multiple requests for information alleging some form of maladministration or irregularities in Bitou Municipality, surprisingly they now have an about turn and seems to advocate that all is well in Bitou. Some would call it hypocrisy.
Plett Democratic Congress has reasonable and justifiable reasons for withdrawing from the coalition with with DA and AUF. This decision we can assure you is in the best interest of this town. Persons with personal and private interests should not point fingers, that is a little like the pot calling the kettle black.
Plett Democratic Congress acted on the mandate of its leadership. We plead with persons with zero information of what led to our decision to stop spreading propaganda. We will be addressing our communities in the greater Plettenberg Bay in due courseIt is important to note a very misleading statement by the PRA the majority of voters did not vote for the DA, if this was true, the DA would have governed Bitou outrightWe invite the PRA to listen to the YouTube link of today's Council meeting. Perhaps this would change their minds as the very Mayor they are now glorifying had a lot to say about them and their integrity
