Whenever a Christian justifies their sin by saying "God knows my heart" they're spitting in the face of His grace and sneering at his wretched suffering on the cross. Don't live a life offending God and then expect Him to accept your offences gladly as if you are any great prize for Him. Lest you forget, He is the perfect unblemished Lamb who is worthy, not you. You are the poor miserable wretch whose earned destiny is hell if it were not for the undeserved grace of Almighty God.

While Jesus warned in the Bible, when explaining future events in the End Times, that there would be pestilences in various places, what has happened in 2020 was not expected by many (if not all). But God knew. He knew what was to come and He knows the outcome. He is still sovereign and we can continue to trust Him. What a comforting thought knowing that while it appears that events are out of our control, God has never relinquish His control.

He. Is. Still. Sovereign!!

Where do you get your theology from? Is it from the Scriptures, sound biblical preaching or from songs you sing?

Many Christians believe what they sing, which is why it's dangerous for churches to use songs in their services from Bethel Music, Hillsong and Elevation church (just to name a few - and it also includes people listening to this music privately). These churches teach wrong biblical theology which lead many Christians astray and that same theology is encompassed in their music. The poison of their bad theology in music is well hidden in notes and words designed to drive emotions, which is what Christians today tend to place more emphasis on. Emotional experience has sadly replaced biblical truth in many churches as emotions better tickle itching ears.

So many Christians are trying to "hear God's voice" when He already speaks to us so clearly in His Word. This is because the modernised Charismatic churches are teaching that the sufficiency of Scripture is not enough and that Christians need to constantly look for "more". If His Word is insufficient that you "need something more" then it's not Christianity you're interested in, it's an occultic experience you're after, because you're more interested in experiences than solid Scripture.

Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me” [John 10:27]. His voice is all we need to hear and the Scriptures are His voice which are completely and utterly sufficient.

Until you have utterly exhausted the reading, studying and understanding of the Scriptures, you have no right to tell God you want "more" when you've hardly touched what He gave you.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work."

God has nowhere promised to reveal Himself privately, directly or specifically to us apart from His Holy Scriptures. God's written Word is sufficient for the Christian faith and the Christian life. Everything we need to know to believe is revealed in His Word. Everything we need to know to live the Christian life, all the guidance we need is in His Word.

Psalm 135:6
"Whatever the LORD pleases, He does, in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all deeps."

There is a misconception amongst those involved with the health-wealth prosperity movement that God cannot do anything in this world without the permission of man, granted to Him through prayer (a heresy taught by Miles Munroe on a show with Benny Hinn). Let us not forget that God is sovereign over all peoples and all things. Psalm 135:6 reminds us that He does whatever He pleases. He needs no permission from His mortal creation.
