*THE WEST COAST AFRICAN NATIONAL CONGRESS YOUTH LEAGUE REGIONAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING OUTCOMES*

The West Coast African National Congress Youth League Regional Executive Committee held its ordinary meeting on the 23 July 2024 on a virtual platform to finalize a Roadmap to its 8th Regional Congress.

The Regional Executive Committee Meeting received an extensive Political Input from the Regional Chairperson highlighting a journey that started on the 13th of August 2022, it's highs and lows, it's successes and failures, it's weaknesses and strengths. Amongst other things the Meeting also discussed the Membership and Recruitment that is ongoing across the region, finalized and endorsed the appointment of Branch Task Teams (BTT's) and convention of lapsed Branch Executive Committees (BEC's) into BTT's.

All Branches in the Region are encouraged to take note of the dates, should they need any assistance or clarify they must contact the Secretariat ( _Cde Mazitshana 073 323 8612 and/or Cde Sonwabile Qokole 065 562 8115_ ).

Committees to deal with Disputes and Appeals will be communicated to Branches immediately after they are established with guidelines to assist the process. Membership Reference will be communicated upon receipt from the Provincial Task Team or National Executive Committee.

Our primary focus now is on delivering the 8th Regional Congress on the 19th & 20th of October 2024 against all odds. We call on all ANC Branches in the Region to assist young people in their branches to recruit for the ANCYL towards having a Branch in good standing.

We hope and pray that the Western Cape ANCYL PTT won't block and frustrate us in the process towards delivering the 8th Regional Congress.

We wish the ANC all the best in this upcoming Bi-elections in Citrusdal and we will give all the support it needs to win the Ward.

Young people from all provinces are invited to apply for the South African Mobile Devices. Distributors and Repairers Association (SAMDDRA) Cellphone Repair programme.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
• South African citizen, preferably under 40 years old.
• NQF 4 level qualification (matric or equivalent) with English, Maths or Maths Literacy or commercial related subjects.
• Unemployed and available for the full duration of the training.
