Every day, the Pietermaritzburg Child and Family Welfare Society works alongside children, families, caregivers and communities to create safer, stronger and more hopeful futures.

From child protection and foster care to family support, social services and community programmes, our work is about being there when families need support the most.

But we cannot do it alone.

It takes social workers.
It takes caregivers.
It takes volunteers.
It takes donors.
It takes community partners.
And it takes people who believe that every child deserves to be safe, supported and given the opportunity to thrive.

Together, we can make a lasting difference.

WHAT A NIGHT!

The Pietermaritzburg Child & Family Welfare Society hosted our very first Bingo Night at RocoMamas Liberty Midlands Mall — and what an incredible success it was!

A HUGE thank you to every guest who joined us, played along, laughed with us and helped make the evening so special. Your support means so much to us and helps us continue the important work we do in our community.

🚨 HELP US KEEP OUR CHILDREN SAFE 🚨

At Pietermaritzburg Child & Family Welfare Society, the safety of the children, families and staff we serve is always a priority.

We are currently looking for sponsors to assist us with important FIRE SAFETY REQUIREMENTS at both our main premises and our Place of Safety.

We are appealing for assistance with:
🔥 Evacuation plans and clearly visible signage
🔥 Fire safety signage
🔥 Staff training on the correct use of fire extinguishers
🔥 Fire safety equipment where needed

These may seem like small things, but in an emergency, being prepared can save lives.

If your business or organisation can assist by sponsoring the installation of signage, evacuation plans, fire extinguisher training or equipment, we would be incredibly grateful.

Together, we can help ensure that our children, families and staff are protected and prepared. ❤️

A HUGE THANK YOU TO ROUND TABLE PMB 12 ❤️

This past Saturday, Round Table PMB 12 hosted an incredible initiative at Mills Spar Hayfields, where they gave shoppers R10 and challenged them to go inside and purchase something to help fill a trolley for Pietermaritzburg Child & Family Welfare Society.

What an incredible idea — and what an incredible response from the community! 🛒❤️

We are truly grateful to the Round Table PMB 12 team for putting this initiative together, for their time and effort, and for every single item that was donated.

Every tin, packet, bottle and essential item received will make a real difference to the families and children we support.
