Msunduzi Municipality Recognises Employees for Exemplary Service During Public Service Month
Msunduzi Municipality has recognised employees who have consistently demonstrated excellence in service delivery and a commitment to serving residents with dignity under the Batho Pele principles.
The recognition took place during a Management Committee meeting led by Municipal Manager Mr Felani Mndebele, who awarded certificates of recognition to employees who have distinguished themselves through their dedication, professionalism and commitment to putting people first.
The initiative forms part of the Municipalityโs Public Service Month activities and seeks to promote a culture of service excellence while encouraging employees to uphold the Batho Pele principles in their daily work.
Speaking during the ceremony, Mr Mndebele emphasised the importance of recognising employees who make a meaningful contribution to the Municipalityโs service delivery mandate.
โThis recognition is not only about celebrating individual achievements. It is also about sending a clear message that excellent public service matters and must be acknowledged. When employees are recognised for the quality of service they provide, it encourages others to learn from their example, take pride in their work and strive for excellence,โ said Mr Mndebele.
The Municipal Manager congratulated the recipients and encouraged all employees to continue serving residents with respect, accountability and professionalism.
โBatho Pele is not merely a policy or a set of words. It is a responsibility we must live by every day. I encourage all employees to take inspiration from these Service Champions and remain committed to improving the lives of our communities,โ he added.
The recognition reinforces Msunduzi Municipalityโs commitment to placing people at the centre of municipal service delivery and promoting continuous improvement in the quality of services provided to residents.
