The kill took place behind a sickle Bush tree.
The impala spotted the lion at the last minute. He jumped up trying to escape the lion. But the lion jumped at him at the same time. A kill in mid air. Spectacular.

3 of thee famous Machaton males spent the day close to my house.
What beautiful and magnificent males these are.
The male with the scar on his face was involved in a fight in June.
After which they crossed over to Northern Balule game reserve.
This is where Grietjie private nature reserve forms the border of this massive private park.
All areas are now open to Kruger and form part of the greater international peace parks initiative.
This is my home.
